In addition to beautiful beaches and stunning scenery, you’ll find golf courses, rural villages and towns, historic buildings and ruins, extreme sports and the best in food and drink. With plenty of places to stay in Fanad, the most difficult decision you’ll have to make is where in this unique area of Donegal you want to visit first.

Fanad Lighthouse

Fanad Lighthouse was built by George Halpin and today serves as a helicopter base for the service and maintenance of all lighthouses along the northern coast. The lighthouse is now one of the main discovery points along the Wild Atlantic way and plans to develop the out-buildings into self catering units are well underway.
